It’s 2024 and you know what that means?? It’s time to kick off our new 2024 Year of Sewing BOM. I am so excited, I can hardly wait. Last year I had so much fun creating the 2023 Year of Spools BOM and it was a huge hit. I really enjoyed seeing all your monthly blocks and I cannot wait to start seeing your 2024 blocks. This BOM is going to be even bigger and better, and you are really going to love the blocks.

Ok, are you ready to get started?! Now available, the January 2024 Year of Sewing block, Sew Snowy. Could these bobbin snowmen be any cuter??? What about the stocking cap? Stop it!! I am absolutely obsessed with them. How adorable would it be to make a table runner with several of these cuties together? OMgoodness!! Someone please make one!!! Ok, this month is all about bobbins and I thought it would be so cute to make the snowmen out of bobbins. It doesn't snow much here in South Carolina, so these bobbin snowmen will have to do. (But I have had my fair share of snow when I lived in Kansas and Illinois.) Add some personality to the snowmen with buttons, applique, or even drawn faces. This adorable block finishes at 14” x 14”.

New Look:
This year's BOM patterns have a new look. Don’t worry, the inside contents are all the same and what you are used to. I changed the pattern cover to resemble my other pattern covers and so that you print it out and fold it in half to fit nicely with other quilt patterns you may have. The fabric requirements, basic instructions, and more can be found on the back cover of the pattern. See picture below:
Any guesses on what the theme is for the February block? I’ll give you a hint. You’re going to LOVE sewing next month!
