Dear Daisy is every bit as sweet as she sounds. Filled with delicate florals, vintage inspired prints, and soft shades of pink, buttery yellow, fresh green, and lavender, this collection is a love letter to those fleeting golden moments when time felt endless and the meadows were full of magic.
Dear Daisy will begin shipping to quilt shops in February 2027, just in time for spring sewing, and it is available to preorder now through your favorite quilt shop. The Story Behind Dear Daisy
Dear Daisy is a tender tribute to childhood. It was inspired by long afternoons spent running through wildflower fields, laughter carried on the breeze, and the simple joy of holding a handful of freshly picked daisies.
It captures those little moments that seemed so magical as children. Picking daisies one by one. Weaving flower crowns and daisy chains. Lying in the grass dreaming about the future. Whispering, “He loves me, he loves me not,” as each petal floated to the ground.
As I designed this collection, I imagined a little girl filling the pages of her diary with dreams, secrets, and wishes. Her best friend wasn’t another little girl. It was the flowers growing around her. She shared her hopes with them, found comfort in them, and believed they held every secret she whispered.
That feeling became the heart of this collection.

A Collection That Helped Me Heal
Every time I share a new fabric collection, I feel like I’m sharing a little piece of my heart with you. But Dear Daisy feels even more personal.
I designed this collection during one of the most difficult seasons of my life.
After more than a decade of putting it off, I finally made the decision to have a surgery that I knew I needed. Even though it was the right decision, it felt overwhelming. It felt permanent. It felt like I was closing one chapter of my life without knowing exactly what the next one would look like.
Designing Dear Daisy became my refuge.
Each floral and the soft color palette gave me somewhere peaceful to place my thoughts when the future felt uncertain. While everything around me felt fragile, this collection reminded me that beautiful things can still bloom after difficult seasons.
Looking back now, I realize Dear Daisy tells that story without ever saying the words outright. It is about hope. It is about healing. It is about trusting that new beginnings often grow from the hardest moments.
I’m happy to say that today I am healthy, happy, and living a better version of myself than I ever imagined. Because of that, Dear Daisy will always hold a very special place in my heart. Every time I see these fabrics, I’ll remember that even after the longest winters, flowers bloom again.
A Cousin to Flower Girl
One of my favorite things about Dear Daisy is that I intentionally designed it to be a cousin to my very first Moda collection, Flower Girl.
When I say cousin, I don’t mean they’re the same collection. I mean they’re part of the same family.
Dear Daisy carries the same soft, feminine, romantic feeling that so many of you fell in love with in Flower Girl, while creating a story all her own. You’ll notice familiar shades, along with several beautiful new colors that bring fresh life to the palette. Together they create that timeless sweetness that makes them perfect for baby quilts, heirloom quilts, spring projects, and quilts you’ll treasure for years to come.
If you missed out on Flower Girl, used every last piece, or simply love collecting these sweet collections, I think Dear Daisy will give you those same warm, happy feelings all over again.
If you’re new here and have never seen Flower Girl before, I’ve included a photo below. It has become very difficult to find in quilt shops, but you may still come across a few treasures here and there.
I cannot wait to spend the next several weeks sharing every little detail of Dear Daisy with you. From the prints and coordinating colors to the quilts, notions, and all of the special projects I’ve designed, there is so much more to come.
I truly think you’re going to fall in love with her just as much as I have.
About the Dear Daisy Collection
Dear Daisy is my seventh fabric collection with Moda Fabrics… number seven! Can you believe it? I honestly can’t.
I just turned in Collection #9, Collection #8 will debut this fall, and Collection #10 is already on the books! I can’t tell you much about that one yet, except that I think you’re going to absolutely love it. Collection #10 feels especially meaningful because it marks five years of designing fabric with Moda. Five years! Sometimes I still have to pinch myself because it doesn’t feel real.
But enough about the future… let’s talk about Dear Daisy.
If you’ve followed me for very long, you probably won’t be surprised that Dear Daisy is another floral filled collection. Would you expect anything less from me? This collection is overflowing with daisies, one of my very favorite flowers, and was designed to feel soft, romantic, and timeless.
From the very beginning, I wanted the colors to be as light and delicate as possible. There is something so beautiful about soft pastel fabrics that makes a quilt feel like it has always existed. Like a treasured quilt that’s been lovingly folded across Grandma’s bed for decades or one that has been washed so many times it has faded into the sweetest, softest version of itself.
That’s the feeling I chase with so many of my collections. I don’t want them to feel brand new. I want them to feel familiar. Comforting. Like they’ve already been loved for generations.
The palette begins with my signature creamy neutrals and flows into buttery yellow, soft mustard, the palest blush pink, a cheerful medium pink, and introduces two beautiful new shades for me, soft apricot and apricot. I also brought lavender back for the first time in quite a while, and I absolutely love how sweet it feels paired with the sage and medium greens. Together, the colors feel fresh for spring while still carrying that soft vintage charm I love so much.
The prints are everything I adore designing. You’ll find my signature large scale floral in cream, pink, and green colorways, along with plenty of sweet ditsy florals sprinkled throughout the collection. We also brought back the tiny gingham from Sunbonnet in yellow, apricot, lavender, and green because it was simply too cute not to use again.
One of my favorite new prints is a delicate stitched stripe that runs diagonally across the fabric. It adds just the right amount of texture and movement while still reading as a beautiful blender. I used it alot for my bindings. And for the white on white print, I couldn’t resist adding tiny daisies. I’ve been using it as both a background fabric and as the daisies in several of my quilts, and I absolutely love the subtle texture it adds.
The Dresden Plate Panel
You know I couldn’t create a collection like Dear Daisy without including an adorable panel!
This time I designed a Dresden Plate quilt block panel featuring 12 unique Dresden Plate blocks, each one ready to cut out and sew into quilts, pillows, table runners, bags, and so much more.
Every Dresden Plate is a little different, and I even included a few exclusive prints that aren’t found anywhere else in the collection. I wanted each block to have that wonderfully scrappy look inspired by the antique Dresden Plate quilts I’ve collected and admired over the years.
I’ll also be sharing a YouTube tutorial showing exactly how I cut apart the panel and use it in projects, so be sure you’re subscribed to my channel so you don’t miss it!

Quilts & Projects
Now for my favorite part… the quilts and projects!
Designing the quilts for each fabric collection is one of the things I look forward to the most. I actually wait until the fabric collection is completely finished before I begin designing the quilts because I want each project to perfectly complement the prints, colors, and overall story of the collection.
With Dear Daisy, I wanted to create something for everyone. You’ll find beginner friendly projects, precut friendly quilts, timeless heirloom inspired designs, and quilts that are simply fun to sew. As always, every pattern includes full color diagrams, easy to follow instructions, and plenty of helpful illustrations.
I’m currently sewing all of the samples, and the patterns are expected to release around August 10 to 15. Paper patterns are available to preorder now, and PDF patterns will be released when the quilts officially launch.
Daisy Love
69” x 80”
Daisy Love is inspired by my Daisy Chain 2 quilt from my Dainty Meadow collection, but I knew Dear Daisy deserved a brand new daisy quilt all her own.
I brought back those sweet pieced daisies and added one of my favorite details… pieced borders! I absolutely love the extra movement and charm they add without making the quilt much more difficult to sew.
For the background, I chose a beautiful Moda Chambray in color 12051 16 because nothing says spring quite like blue denim and fresh daisies. The soft blue makes every flower pop, but this quilt would also be beautiful with a pink or cream background.
Uses: Charm Pack plus background, border, and daisy yardage.
Tulip Lane
70” x 81”
Looking for a beginner friendly quilt? Tulip Lane is the perfect choice.
You may recognize this design from a magazine several years ago, and I’m so excited to finally release it as a standalone pattern. Of course, I couldn’t leave it exactly the same! I added sweet pieced borders and the cutest little bow corners that frame the quilt beautifully.
It’s simple, cheerful, and the perfect spring project.
Uses: Charm Pack plus background, stem, and border yardage.
Garden Treasures
72” x 81”
Garden Treasures is one of the happiest quilts in the collection.
Inspired by my Little Trinkets quilt from Handmade Sweetness, this version blooms with flowers and charming patchwork blocks that make the quilt feel like a colorful cottage garden.
One of my favorite things about this design is that there are no borders or background setting pieces. Once your blocks are finished, you simply sew them together into the quilt top. It’s wonderfully satisfying and lets the fabric shine.
Uses: One Layer Cake plus coordinating yardage.
Sweet Dresdens
48” x 48”
I love panel quilts that don’t look like panel quilts, and Sweet Dresdens is exactly that.
Using the Dresden Plate panel, this quilt transforms the printed blocks into a beautiful heirloom style baby quilt or wall hanging. The pattern also includes instructions for a coordinating pillow, an optional ruffled border, and my favorite finishing technique, facing binding, which creates a beautiful clean edge without a traditional binding showing on the front.
I’ll also be sharing a video tutorial showing exactly how I create the facing binding.
The quilt can be made in four different color options, making it easy to choose your favorite look.
Uses: One Dresden Plate panel plus coordinating yardage.
Sunlit Meadows
65” x 77”
If you’ve been looking for a Jelly Roll quilt that doesn’t look like a Jelly Roll quilt, this one is for you!
Sunlit Meadows combines traditional star blocks with a beautiful secondary design that reminds me of an Irish Chain quilt. It’s classic, timeless, and wonderfully scrappy.
One of my favorite parts is that it uses a print background instead of a solid, adding even more interest and softness throughout the quilt.
Uses: One Jelly Roll plus background and accent yardage.
Happy Jacks
70” x 84”
You all know how much I love antique quilts, so when I came across a vintage quilt with this block, I knew I had to recreate it.
Happy Jacks is available as both a traditional pattern and a Foundation Paper Piecing Paper Pad to make construction even easier. If you’ve been wanting to learn Foundation Paper Piecing, this is a wonderful beginner project.
The quilt has everything I love… timeless blocks, low volume backgrounds, and that perfectly scrappy antique feel.
The Foundation Paper Piecing Paper Pad is available separately for those who prefer sewing directly on preprinted papers.
Uses: One Layer Cake plus low volume background yardage.
Peaches & Pinwheels
66” x 81”
I couldn’t design a collection with these beautiful apricot prints without creating a quilt to showcase them!
Peaches & Pinwheels is full of cheerful summer charm with sweet peach blocks surrounded by classic pinwheels. It reminds me of the quilts I designed years ago, bringing back that signature My Sew Quilty Life style that so many of you fell in love with.
It’s fresh, playful, and just makes me smile every time I see it.
Uses: Yardage plus one Charm Pack for the border.
Bag Patterns
Lately I’ve been having so much fun branching out and designing more than just quilts! One of my goals has been to give you even more creative ways to use the panels I include in each fabric collection. And the best part? These projects aren’t limited to Dear Daisy. You can use a panel from any of my collections or even showcase your favorite patchwork blocks instead! The bag patterns are not available for preorder at this time.
Circle Ruffle Bag
I’ve wanted to design a circle bag for years, and Dear Daisy felt like the perfect collection to finally make it happen.
The Dresden Plate panel naturally lends itself to the round shape of the bag, and the sweet ruffled edge adds the perfect feminine touch. It is just so adorable!
If you’re new to bag making, don’t worry. I’m still a beginner bag maker myself, so I wrote the pattern with lots of detailed instructions and illustrations to help guide you through every step.
I’ll be sharing more about this bag as I finish sewing the sample, and I may even create a video tutorial to sew along with you!
Ruffled Backpack
I’m definitely a backpack purse kind of girl! I love being able to throw it on my shoulders and keep my hands free, especially when I’m shopping at quilt stores or browsing antique shops.
This backpack is another fun way to feature the Dresden Plate panel or your favorite patchwork blocks. The sweet ruffle detail gives it just the right amount of charm while still being practical enough for everyday use.
Just like the Circle Ruffle Bag, this pattern is written with beginners in mind, with detailed instructions and full color diagrams to make the construction approachable and enjoyable.
I’ll be sharing more details once I’ve finished the sample, and I have a feeling a tutorial may be coming for this one, too!

Of course, we can’t have a new fabric collection without adorable coordinating notions and accessories! I have to say, this may be one of my favorite product releases yet.
This collection includes zipper charms, needle minders, woven labels, and so many cute notebooks! And for the first time ever, we’re offering both spiral bound and hardcover notebooks to coordinate with one of my fabric collections.
If you’re anything like me, you can never have too many notebooks. I am a total notebook collector! If it’s cute, I absolutely have to have it.
We’re also introducing another first for My Sew Quilty Life… a Foundation Paper Piecing Paper Pad for the Happy Jacks quilt! If you’ve never tried Foundation Paper Piecing before, these preprinted papers make the process so much easier and more enjoyable.

If you’re new here, I create a Signature Quilty Box for every fabric collection. Each box is filled with exclusive coordinating products and notions that I’ve designed especially for the collection, along with fabric and a project pattern to get you started creating right away.
These boxes are honestly one of my favorite things to design. I love dreaming up new products that coordinate perfectly with each collection and putting together a fun surprise that I know you’ll enjoy opening. Every box seems to get sweeter than the last!
The Dear Daisy Signature Quilty Box is available to preorder now and will ship when the fabric arrives in quilt shops in March and April 2027.
If you’d like one, I encourage you to preorder early. I only produce a limited quantity, and these boxes often sell out before they begin shipping. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!
No Signature BOM… This Time
One thing I do want to mention is that, for the first time, Dear Daisy will not have a Signature BOM experience.
You’ll learn more about why this fall, but because of some exciting projects and scheduling plans I have coming up, I didn’t want two large programs overlapping. It was a difficult decision, but I felt it was the best one.
Don’t worry though! You’ll still have plenty to keep you inspired with Dear Daisy. Between all of the quilt patterns, bag patterns, coordinating projects, appliqué, and cross stitch designs, there will be so many fun ways to create with this collection.
